Mango
Origin:
Brazil, Perù
Varieties:Kent, Palmer, Tommy Atkins
Mangoes come from the geographical area between India and Burma. Spanish and Portugese colonizers were responsible for the diffusion of this cultivation in the entire tropical area. It is a rounded fruit, slightly dented on the sides and elongated towards the ends. The skin of the mango starts to turn red while ripening, and the pulp, with its intense sweet flavour, is yellow to orange in hue.
