The best fruit from the best territories. This ideal has carried us through the years: hectar after hectar, we have built our 'Agricola' world.
Born in 2018 out of the collaboration between Battaglio and C.I. Tropical, leading colombian company in banana production and export, the company is located on about 1000 hectars of land in the Cauca valley, in Colombia. This mountain area is between 1600 and 2200 metres above sea level, and is named after the Cauca river, which forms a valley among the Ande chain in its journey north. The land is parallel to the Pacific coast and is known for its excellent farming properties, thanks to a high level of sun and abundant rain. This way, plants can grow sustainably, preserving the land and the resources of local communities. With these strengths, our aims are ambitious: to become one of the most important players in international avocado export.
Over roughly 340 hectars in the Sundays River Valley, the company produces lemons, Navel and Valencia oranges, and new varieties of late-season madarins. Agricola Sundays also contributes to the development of the citrus farming industry in South Africa, taking part in the Ikamva Lethu project with historic supplier Sundays River Citrus Company and 16 other producers: 60% of the project is owned by members of the local community.
Acquired in 2022, it is located in Province of Rio Negro. The company is equipped with over 150 hectars of land, which are used to farm Williams, Packhams and Beurre Danjou pears and several varieties of apples, as well as a deposit in the Villa Regina area. Battaglio exports roughly 15 thousand tons of fruit from here each year, destined mainly for the markets of Italy, Brazil, Central America and United States.
Born in Massafra (Province of Taranto) in 2014, the company cultivates citrus fruit on three production sites - Pisticci (Province of Matera), Corigliano-Rossano (Province of Cosenza) and Palagianello (Province of Taranto) - with an overall extension of 130 hectars. Since 2022 it has been among the top Italian producers of the premium 'Orri' mandarin, a seedless and very sweet late-season variety. The sale of these citrus fruits takes place through Agricola Don Camillo, our historic partners.
